The Alt Fashion Mob met at the Columbus Idea Foundry for a “February is for Lovers” themed photoshoot. 12 models, 12 photographers, and a great warehouse floor with lighting, rustic brick, talented MUA’s, and fun with cameras.
Winter Fashion at the Alt Fashion Meetup. Model: Gabe Incarnato The theme for the shoot was “February Is for Lovers”, and Gabe sported his pink tie very patiently. The rustic warehouse hall of the Columbus Idea Foundry made for some great lighting. Models: K-la Art-fashion, Jon Pennell, Garrett Burger I still have a lot to learn on posing people, but felt very proud in how I choreographed this shot. This photo makes me want to launch a new late night crime serial on TV. Models: K-la Art-fashion, Jon Pennell To me photography is about capturing photos which are a joy to view – especially when they relate a vibrant expression. Somehow black & white seems to help with this. Model: Stacey Jay Stacey was cracking me up the entire time – she saw this caution tape on the floor, and it felt like her dreams just came true. Mine too. I had no clue what one does with caution tape. I still don’t, but at least I have some decent ideas and some great photos. Model: Mandi Ebert I got into a great discussion with Mandi about the stereotypes she faces when modelling – mainly that people are surprised that she’s neither vain nor dumb. Maybe I’ve worked with the wrong models, but I’ve never really found either of those to be the case. Well, maybe once, but that’s it. Model: Ambreanna Robinson Makeup Artist: Yodit Tecle Let me just say, Yodit Tecle was an awesome MUA. I gathered that Brea was as stunned as I was that she looked like a famous movie star. First time I used a fan too – and I don’t think I’ve ever had this much fun taking photos before. It was like she was waiting for a spot of tea in Downton Abbey. Model: Jennifer Angel This is exactly what makes shooting with other photographers so refreshing – it never occured to me to get down on the floor to shoot people from a different perspective. Models: Ambreanna Robinson & Eric P Uni-VsAll I shot with Eric at the last Alternative Fashion event, and was delighted that he looks so classy posing with Brea.
